Advertisement Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Hi jamesmd, Take a look here noise reduction. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wparsonsgisnet Posted October 31, 2008 Share #2 Posted October 31, 2008 I use Neat Image. Both Neat Image and Noise Ninja have been happily attested to on the Forum.
miami91 Posted October 31, 2008 Share #3 Posted October 31, 2008 I'm a big fan of Nik plug-ins. If I didn't already own Noise Ninja, which is good software, I probably would give Dfine a try. I may end up doing so anyway at some point in the future. In any event, I have pretty much an identical Aperture setup to what you're thinking about: Viveza, Silver Efex, Color Efex, and NN. Best, Jeff.
Shootist Posted October 31, 2008 Share #4 Posted October 31, 2008 Never used Define but I have used Neat Image and swore by it. Then I tried Noise Ninja and to be honest I like Noise Ninja better on the M8 higher ISO files. When I go back and look at my Nikon D200 images and use both NN & NI I still like NI on those files. I think NIK has a 30 day trial of Define. Give it a try.
digger1914 Posted October 31, 2008 Share #5 Posted October 31, 2008 I use Noise Ninja and am very happy with it. PS - you will love Silver Efex Pro, it is sensational! Not cheap though
gesper Posted November 3, 2008 Share #6 Posted November 3, 2008 I have Dfine and like it a lot. Never tried the others. Download the free trial and try it.
