Hi

I have an Epson 3880 printer and currently use Epson premium glossy paper for my color prints and Ilford gold mono silk for my B/W prints.

However I would like a paper for my color prints that give my a bit of the same look as the gold mono silk does for b/w.

Any advises and profiles?

Thanks

Peter

I haven't tried the Gold Mono, but Ilford's Prestige Gold Fibre Silk has been a mainstay color paper for me (using the 3800).

For b/w, I now prefer Canson papers, especially Infinity Baryta Photgraphique and Platine.

When I don't use a friend's profiling gear, I use Chromix's color valet pro service (I'm in the US) for profiles...unlimited papers for $179 for 18 months. They are experts in color management.

Yes, I now use their infinity high gloss premium RC for most of my color prints, for a really nice gloss finish. Be sure to download and use their ICC profiles if you're not using a service like Chromix to make custom profiles.

I have used EPSON, ILFORD, Hahnemühle and HarmanKardon but CANSON is my first paper that delivers really right ICC-profiles, which makes all the difference in the amount of test-prints needed.
