chrism Posted July 4, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've had it with the 2400 and its excessive demands for new ink cartridges. The latest is that it won't let me print anything (even B&W) because one of the colour cartridges is low. This might just be time for me to convert it to continuous inking. I have looked at the system from inkrepublic.com and have heard good things about them on APUG and hybridphoto.com, but I only really need B&W from this printer. Any other suggestions for a B&W continuous ink system for the 2400 - there were many for the 2200, so there must be options out there! Chris
Advertisement Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Hi chrism, Take a look here Epson SPR2400 and continuous inking. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
kitok Posted July 5, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 5, 2010 Chris, I have heard very good things about the JonCone Studio Ink system on this forum and you will be happy to know that the system is available with a CIS. This system uses 7 shades of black ink versus 3 for epson. I am strongly considering this system to go along with an upcoming printer purchase. Here is a link to the epson 2400 page at the inkjetmall.
chrism Posted July 7, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted July 7, 2010 Thanks. After some reading I decided to go with the Cone refillable cartridges and have ordered from inkjetmall. Chris
