D-Lux 5 Off Camera Flash Cord

It is worth searching the forum with your question but widen it to include earlier D Lux cameras and other Leica digital cameras. I have a Nikon compatible one which I use occasionally with Digilux 2 and X1. It also works with M8/9 cameras. But I haven't yet tried it on a Panasonic based design apart from the Digilux 2.

glen--

I think the Olympus flash circuitry is the same as that of the D-Lux 5. That would also mean that an Olympus off-camera cord would work with it.

There was a lot of talk about which flash to use with the D-Lux 4 right after it came out, so you should be able to get guidance by searching the forum, as David suggested.

I have found that the Canon Off-Camera Shoe Cord 2 works fine with the DL-5 and the CF 22 flash. It seams to maintain full TTL capabilities including bounce flash, use with a defuser etc. Any flash that works directly in the hot shoe of the DL-5 I would think would work with the Canon cord.
