M.Hilo Posted January 23, 2013 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi! First time poster here, from The Netherlands. But long time Focomat user since 1980 . . . Still today, my darkroom looks like a forest of Focomats . . . 1C's, 2C and even the small Valloy . . . apart from using this equipment for my work, I also let people use this darkroom, to do fiberprints . . . I am looking for a (Leitz made?) filterholder for the 1C, that can replace the redfilter. From the enclosed picture you will have an idea what it is. Should anyone have it and is willing to let it go, please let me know. And, should anyone have it, but prefers to hold onto it, can you still let me know? - I may like to take the specific sizes, and have some made. I have the 1C's with filter drawer, this is perfect obviously. But I also have some beautiful 1C's without the filterdrawer and I would like to make them functional. I prefer not to lay the filters inside the head, remember I have others working with these enlargers and to me it is not a good idea they have to take off the top of the head. Thanks ! Advertisement Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Hi M.Hilo, Take a look here Focomat 1C - looking for filterholder. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
fotohuis Posted March 19, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 19, 2013 Maybe you know this already but you can build over any Focomat to a Split Grade system (Heiland).
tobey bilek Posted June 28, 2013 Share #3 Posted June 28, 2013 how hard can it be to make a few of these from sheet aluminum and black crinkle paint? Measure the screw threads and pile washers on a replacement.
M.Hilo Posted June 28, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted June 28, 2013 how hard can it be to make a few of these from sheet aluminum and black crinkle paint? Measure the screw threads and pile washers on a replacement. Not hard at all ! In fact, for practical purposes there is no need to even do that: I used a Beseler filterholder, which works fine. Picture attached. On the other hand: I like the original parts of these enlargers. Welcome, dear visitor!
