wbesz Posted August 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) What battery voltage is used in the M6? It seems my M6 is the TTL version (not the classic. Are the batteries different:confused: between these two cameras? The classic seems to use smaller batteries. THank you in advance. William

lars_bergquist Posted August 23, 2009 Share #2 Posted August 23, 2009 Two stacked 1.5 volt silver oxide batteries type SR-44, or one 3 volt lithium. The old man from the Age of Carbon-Zinc Batteries
StS Posted August 23, 2009 Share #3 Posted August 23, 2009 The same batteries can be used for the M6 classic. Personally I prefer the lithium batteries (1/3N). One has to live with a hidden disadvantage - they last so long, one probably has forgotten the battery type, when they are finally flat.... I bought two 1/3N batteries, when I bought the camera, the second one has a shelf life until 2017, according to the package... Thanks Thanks guys, but those small batteries only add up to be 3 V (for the M6 classic), I thought perhaps the M6TTL version used more voltage (bigger) cells and would add to be 6volts? stunsworth Posted August 23, 2009 Share #5 Posted August 23, 2009 It's the same battery in both cameras. The camera operation is virtually identical between the M6 and M6 TTL. The only manual I've ever had for an M was the one that came with my M8.

peter_n Posted August 23, 2009 Share #7 Posted August 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) CR 1/3N is the full name of the battery. The M7 uses two, all M6s use one. They're quite expensive retail, like at Radio Shack. Get them on the internet, best battery is probably Varta, best value is bulk Sanyo. Shelf life is enormous.
