NB23 Posted February 28, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 28, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) To the 18mm Zeiss lens owners, I have a question. My lens' front section (where the aperture ring is) wobbles very slightly. Does your lens have the same behavior? I'm thinking of sending it in for warranty work but just want to make sure. So far I've had 3 leica lenses unscrew in half in my hands after they started wobbling, but I am not sure the Zeiss lenses have the same construction. Thanks for the help. Nenad, Judging from your experience with 3 Leica lenses coning apart on you, I would send your Zeiss lens for warranty adjustment. Don't wait until it goes out of warranty, part with it while you can (for free). I had that experience once with a 50 Summicron , very sobering. BTW I remember your article in LFI a while back, M7 and Noctilux, phenomenal shots. Good luck, Russell

kdemas Posted March 1, 2009 Share #6 Posted March 1, 2009 I and many others have seen the "loosening" and wobble you describe with ZM 28mm lenses. It is easily fixed by tightening a retaining ring on the mount (it is probably loose to the touch. Have a peek, it might solve your problem Kent

But I'm not sure I understand. Maybe could you post a picture showing it? Greatly appreciated!
