J Mitchum Posted September 16, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 16, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm planning on buying a CM and was wondering if anyone had purchased one of the limited edition versions. It seems the only difference is that the limited edition has leather instead of the textured rubber. Is this correct? I do prefer the look of the brown leather but are there any drawbacks? I think it is the same as used in the á la carte program.
Advertisement Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Hi J Mitchum, Take a look here Leica CM or CM Limited Edition?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rjans Posted September 16, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 16, 2006 Hi, I purchased the special edition package (camera + SF 24 flash unit). It is the cognac coloured leather version. The leather is the same as in the à la carte. The camera looks great and is a pleasure to use.
J Mitchum Posted September 17, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted September 17, 2006 Do you find the leather difficult to grip compared to the standard covering?
rjans Posted September 17, 2006 Share #4 Posted September 17, 2006 I did not compare but presume the leather gives less grip. It is a smooth leather coverage. Best
