Joe 90 Posted March 7, 2008 Share #1 Posted March 7, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) On the "Motor Winder R4" and "Motor Winder R" there is a small socket on the rear face with a screw on cover. This appears to take a tiny circular plug with 5 pins. Does anyone have a description of the pins and their function please? Can the socket be used to trigger the shutter? Advertisement Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Hi Joe 90, Take a look here Motor winder R remote socket. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
mooky Posted March 7, 2008 Share #2 Posted March 7, 2008 The socket is for remote release with cables. There is also a remote release/timer that you can use as well. They have always had cable releases for the R and SL series motors. Remember - when using the camera remotely, you only have a maximum 36 frames to use which can vanish very quickly in a multi-frame release sequence. If you ask or look on this site there are sources for more information like the release/timer manual, where to buy etc...
