kodaktrix Posted August 6, 2006 Share #1 Posted August 6, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good morning from rainy Munich to all the Telyt 6.8/400 users worldwide. Mine seems to be in need for a lubrication maintanance as the focusing unit does no longer run entirely smooth all the way. As I will work on this lens for the first time, I would appreciate advices on what lubricant to use. I personally would go for silicone grease (the one I use on my Nikonos O-rings). Temperatures over here go from -20°C up to +40°C (as we had to experiance this year). Thanks in advance! Best regards Oliver

telyt Posted August 6, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 6, 2006 Silicone can damage lens coatings, be very careful where this stuff goes.
kodaktrix Posted August 6, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted August 6, 2006 Hello Doug, my hope was that You would respond. What kind of lubricant do You use on Your Telyts, or do You have them serviced? Best regards Oliver
telyt Posted August 6, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 6, 2006 Oliver, I've only had to have the 560mm lens serviced. I had Don Goldberg lubricate it four years ago when it needed some other work done on it.
