rosuna Posted May 13, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I friend has purchased a Noctilux 50mm f/1.2 Aspherical (1966 design). The lens hasn't hood. I have two questions: 1) What hood can be used with this lens? 2) What is the filter size? Can anyone help me (him)? Thanks!!!!

rosuna Posted May 13, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted May 13, 2007 Thank you. The filter is 48mm, I think. The hood is difficult to find, isn't?
dkCambridgeshire Posted May 13, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 13, 2007 Thank you. The filter is 48mm, I think. The hood is difficult to find, isn't? Have seen only one Noctilux f1.2 hood for sale in UK several years ago advertised by Fieldgrass and Gale and was if my memory is correct £200 ish ... best bet now would be to do a permanent search on Ebay ... or maybe ask DAG Cameras. dunk

Ivar B Posted May 15, 2007 Share #6 Posted May 15, 2007 Thank you. The filter is 48mm, I think. The hood is difficult to find, isn't? The filter size is series VIII, but maybe 58mm (not 48mm) will fit, The hood is very very difficult to find. I have the lens and had 2 hoods (lens and hoods like new), and I sold one of the hoods for close to $750 as I recall. I saw one for sale recently by the large dealer Arsenal Photo in Germany, but I do not know if it is still there. The lens needs the hood, and if one shows up for sale it should be picked up instantly.
