leicanet Posted October 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 15, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't know if this has been mentioned before, however today I have logged-in my owners' account on the Leica website and to my surprise I have been able to download Adobe Lightroom 3.2 full version free of charge (I was one of the few that already downloaded LR 2 when purchased my M9 a few months ago and was asked £75 to upgrade only up to a few weeks ago). So, a "small" gesture by Leica but so much appreciated, thank you Leica, sincerely.
Advertisement Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Hi leicanet, Take a look here Thank you Leica, LR 3.2 now available for all M9 owners.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
chuckw Posted October 16, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 16, 2010 This did not work for me!
leicanet Posted October 16, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted October 16, 2010 ...how strange, was I just lucky then...?...anyone else...? It says in the owner's area, >under "benefits">, "As a registered Leica customer you will profit from special benefits again and again. Special offers, new services, limited series – here you will always find the offers available to you. It’s always worth having a look. These are our special offers for you at the moment: Software for image editing" Perhaps Leica special offers are allocated at random?

So, a "small" gesture by Leica but so much appreciated, thank you Leica, sincerely. Thank you for ferreting out this well-kept secret. It does indeed work. I had already downloaded version 2 when I first got my M9 but, because the Adobe licence permits the software to be downloaded twice, I have been able to download version 3.2 as well. So thank you Leica and Adobe but, most of all, thank you leicanet, without whom I would never have known about this.
Humood Posted October 16, 2010 Share #6 Posted October 16, 2010 I bought my X1 about a month a go from the UK the literature mentions that I have a free copy of Lightroom version 2 but I was pleased when I hit that download button and it said "dowlnloading LR 3.2!!" yaay thank you Leica
chuckw Posted October 18, 2010 Share #7 Posted October 18, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Since I apparently am one of the unlucky ones who bought an M9 this year but have not been allowed to download Lightroom v. 3 I email Leica Customer Service for an explanation. Apparently June 8, 2010 is the magic date! If a copy of Lightroom v. 2 was activated after that date an M9 buyer can now use their 2nd download privilege to obtain Lightroom v.3. If a person activated before June 8, 2010 (like me) your out of luck!
XK50 Posted October 19, 2010 Share #8 Posted October 19, 2010 That may not be the whole story, Chuck. I took my first download of LR2 from Leica last March. Prompted by this thread, I was able to take LR3.2 over the weekend. LR3 really does great things to M9 images (but I still get drawn back to Capture 5!) I wonder, do you guys in the US point to a local, mirrored server or to the Leica AG site in Germany? Regards, John
wattsy Posted October 20, 2010 Share #9 Posted October 20, 2010 I'm just curious. Have Leica also issued a new serial number for those who have previously downloaded LR2 but now have 3.2 available to download?
XK50 Posted October 20, 2010 Share #10 Posted October 20, 2010 Yes, a new serial number was issued by Leica, on completion of the 3.2 download For completeness, let me add that you have to log in and type in the original TAN number, in order to access the download. Best wishes, John

I did not register Lightroom 2.5 with Adobe. I have just made my second download this time LR3.2 using the same TAN and installed it with a new license number, sent by email.
