Guest Ron (Netherlands) Posted June 20, 2011 Share #3 Posted June 20, 2011 Ron, An excellent shot with the old-timer lens. Great detail, colors, sharpness and composition. Paul Very kind of you Paul. I had the f-stop at 6.3 which provides already a quite decent sharpness of this old lens. Fully open it would however only provide sharpness in the center and therefore less in the corners. Further these oldlenses lack of course somewhat in contrast.
Perceval Posted July 2, 2011 Share #4 Posted July 2, 2011 I agree; a very attractive picture. I also keep my(1936) example set at f6.3, partly to avoid having to remove the hood and filter to make changes, which sounds lazy but it works well on a M6ttl with FP4 at ISO100 - and a very pale yellow filter.
