  1. Where did you see this information? Is this Japan Fuji film (i.e. not manufactured in the USA), colour, black and white? A link if possible please.
  2. I am tempted but I wish that I could just purchase just SE. I don't need the rest of the Nik Collection.
  3. Thanks for the detailed reply, Brendan. I have used SE in the (distant) past, but not with Monochrom files.
  4. DXO have a Black Friday deal on, amongst other software, Nik Collection, which includes Silver Effex Pro. Has anyone any experience with Silver Effex Pro and files from Leica Monochrom files? I ask because, obviously, there is no need to convert from colour to black and white. Are there any issues I should be aware of? Many thanks for any help, and apologies if this thread is in the wrong forum.
  5. Hi Wolan, sorry to hear about the problem. I presume you have removed the battery successfully previously? If so you will know that just a slight push, after the battery release has been activated, is enough to allow the battery to be removed. When you activate the release lever, does the battery drop freely (to the point where the battery can be pressed again to allow removal)? If this is the case I would seek the advice of your Leica dealer and take it from there. I hope this is resolved for you quickly. On another topic, thank you for all the photographs you post on the forum.
  6. My guess is first photo, Monochrom, second photo, M11. My reasoning is that you have used to colour sliders in post processing to lighten some of the trees and darken the blue of the sky.
  7. Thanks for the advice and please read my personal reply. This has helped a lot so thank you all. Mike.
  8. Thanks for all the help here. I've downloaded the firmware using the Leica Fotos app and the Leica Fotos cable, so all is well. I think I understand now that I could just drag the download from Leica to the SD card? I was expecting to have to open the download and then drag the contents (a file) to the SD card. These things are easy - once you have done them once. Thanks again for the help. Mike.
  9. Thanks for the reply. I've downloaded the firmware update from Leica. When I attempt to open the download (in downloads) I get the message above. I've never come across this before when downloading firmware.
  10. I'm currently attempting to install firmware 1.6.1 onto may M11 Monochrom. I haven't used the Leica Fotos app yet and so I thought I'd use the old fashioned way and just download the firmware onto an SD card and install 'the old fashioned way'. The download of the firmware to my Mac was straightforward but when I attempted to open it I received the message There is no application set to open the document “LEICA_M11_MONO_V1.6.1.FW”. Search the App Store for an application that can open this document, or choose an existing application on your computer. Can anyone help please? I don't really want to have to go through the process of pairing my camera to the Leica Fotos app. Thanks in advance for any help.
  11. Apologies for not posting a photograph, but this seems like the best place to get help. I've just purchased the 28mm Summaron and a 34mm Heliopan filter. I assumed that the Leica lens cap wouldn't fit with the filter attached (it doesn't) so I also purchased a34mm Kaiser push-on lens cap. This doesn't fit either! Has anyone found a lens cap that will fit the Heliopan filter. Thanks for any help.
