  1. Thanks! and now a (not very good picture picture) in a situation where this lens doesn't work: chevron gas station locations
  2. Same 35mm Summilux v2 and M9 Maybe not as much crispiness and texture as a Summicron but stopped down it‘s pretty good to me. is the gas station near me open
  3. painterly on M9 & Summilux 35 v2 Not a lens I would use for a landscape or a Break dance demonstration but I think this kind of moments is where this lens shine.
  4. M9 & Summilux 35 v2 nearest td bank around me
  5. Some say the Summilux 35 pre asph is usable only stopped down. Many keep it for its performance wide open. On M9:
  6. The only other 50mm I've used has been the Nokton 1.5 Asph (I wouldn't use it for a sharp landscape but portrait was ok) and the Heliar 3.5 (very transparent but impression of sharpness not far from the Summicron 50V4 at F8). To my taste and modest experience the balance character/resolution of the 50 cron V4 is my reference.
  7. I'm searching an other Leica 35mm lens for my m9 and sometimes I think I'd be glad to get the rendering of my 50v4 on 35mm. Is it possible the 35mmv4 shares similarities with the 50? or is it comparing strawberry and raspberry-chewing gum? For info I sold a Biogon 2.8 because too slow, too contrasty and the colors too "flashy". I kept a Summicron V3 but slightly soft in the corners at any apertures and kind of dull colors. But all in all its rendering is not that far from what my eyes see (or believe they saw) I also use a Summilux pre asph v2. This is still a mistery lens for me! Wide open glow and softness are from absolutely wonderful to not usable depending on the situation. At higher apertures it becomes sharper than the summicron in the corners but I've never found the image very crisp, even at f8. Kind of different feeling of sharpness than a Summicron..But I like also the colors and the overall "friendly" character. I find the 50mmv4 to have nothing I could complain about, except it is 50mm 😉 So.. Should I sell my 35v3 and give the v4 a chance on my M9? thanks for your input!
  8. M9 & Summilux pre asph 1979 F1.4 F2.8 crop about 100%: foto hochladen kostenlos not the sharpest lens, but gives a very "friendly" overall rendering (colors, contrast, softness, glow, resolution in the corners) M9 & Summicron 50 1982 For the Summicron, I'd say "elegance". A fine mix of resolution, character and color.
  9. I love my M9 but with the limited ISO, sometimes, you just can't take the picture. Try your M10 with max iSO 640 or 800 a few weeks or a month. If you can live with this, then you may think about the M9.
