I use a cable for Nikon flash SC-28a, works fine and I still have ttl.

Good luck with getting your stuff from Overgaard. I preordered and paid a book last year in August, not yet delivered :-( If I shoot events with the Q, I set the desired Aperture and Speed, depending on the situation. Could be 1/125 sec to avoid movement blur, and 5.6 to get some safe DOF, and then I set auto ISO to get the EV close

What software didi you use for see your files in?

Allways singlepoint. I focus, halfpress trigger, compose and press. Very fast way when you get used to it

Yes, I do that. No problem, but I made a user profile for studio, so that the EVF does NOT go dark when I half press the shutter. I don´t remember how but you will find it in this forum somewhere.

Sometimes it's a good idea to challenge yourself, and shoot for example jpg only, black and white. Iy sharpens ones vision

To me it comes down to the benefit of carrying only my Q. I have my Q, a +1 macrofilter, the Hoya 720 filter, a ND filter and a 'table'tripod from Manfrotto. This allows me all possibilities to have fun and be creative. I might get more into IR someday, snd will convert one of my Nikons, but for now it's more about trying out

I'm waiting to get my filter. Should have arrived yesterday, but it didn't. I have one question though. How do you decide which shutter speed to use? I seem to remember from earlier (Nikon gear) that the build in lightmeter is not reliable. Do you guys use Q's build in meter, or is it a trial an error approach ?
