  1. You can try Fred Miranda. Lot’s of Leica buyers there.
  2. My wife thinks I should write the company and even take to social media to shame Leica for this practice. I assure her I have many times, and it does no good.
  3. Check out Peak Designs Capture Clip. It may not be exactly what you’re describing but it keeps the camera close and accessible. Peak Design Clip
  4. I can't seem to figure this out....I thought when you switch between photo and video modes, the settings for each switch with whichever mode you switch too. For instance, I have my video settings set to CHD 23.98, Shutter 1/50 and ISO @400. When I switch back to photo, the video settings stay the same, Shutter 1/50, ISO 400, etc. Ideally when switching back to photo I would be back at shutter 250, ISO 50, etc. Does anyone have any ideas or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!
  5. I had an M10-R BP…got it right as the M11 was being officially announced. I never thought I’d sell it and didn’t think I’d be interested in the M11. But the more I used the BP the more it felt like a jewel that I didn’t want to get a scratch on. And who an I kidding that I would ever keep it long enough to achieve the beautiful brassing. I will say, hands down, IMO it’s the best looking M I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned way too many. In the end though, I sold it and went for the M11. And now that I have it, I feel like I can carry it around without being afraid I’ll drop it or bang it on the corner of a correct pylon. For me its about grabbing my cam and keeping it with me wherever I go. All the extra new stuff aside, I was just getting to know the m10r sensor but once the dust settles, I hope to dial in my look and feel for the M11.
  6. Just wanted to say thanks to all…I had no idea the aperture was a guess nor the history behind it. I guess it wasn’t a total waste of time…I’m learning something new everyday about the M, but this was very interesting.
  7. Had some time on my hands today so I did the most exciting thing I could think of which is to perform a brick wall test! If this is a waste of your time please move on...otherwise I found something curious that I would be interested if anyone else has seen. The set up: M11 ISO 64 / SS125 On Tripod w/ 2 second timer 50mm Summilux set at 2.0 35 FLE set at 2.0 Three shots each. One at 60MP, 36MP & 18MP I dumped the DNG's in both LRC & Capture One 22 The lenses looked nice and sharp at all sizes. But when I looked at the lens settings (this was identical with both lenses).....at 60MP & 36MP, both LRC & C1 showed an aperture of 2.4. BUT at 18MP both showed 2.0. I checked all my settings and there was no exp comp on. Would be interested if anyone else has seen this or if it's strictly a software issue. The numbers showed up in the metadata as well. I won't bother posting the images because it's a brick wall. I'd be happy to pass along the DNG's if anyone is interested.
  8. Any thoughts on the upside down images coming straight out of the camera? I had a run of 6 in a row today. of course I will be talking to Leica about this, Just curious if anyone has experienced this before.
  9. Yes, I formatted before I took the first shot.
  10. I know Leica doesn't allow end users to get an actual shutter actuation so there's no way to know. You can reset the file count when reseting the camera.... With that a said, I recently bought a brand new Q2 and the files started at L.......01. I just received my M11 yesterday and noticed the first shot was over 750. Would that indicate the camera was used before? In addition, some of my files are coming out upside down straight out of the camera. I've never experienced with with any Leica model I've ever owned. Any thoughts on the file count? thx in advance.
  11. I know this is an ongoing topic, but I'm revisiting my lens lineup (again). I shoot primarily street and portrait work. mostly natural light but some flash as needed. Right now I have a 28Lux & the 24-90. Thats probably all I need.😈 But just for fun...I've been running these combos. 1. 28Lux, SL35 Cron, 50lux, 24-90. 2. 35FLE, SL50 Cron, 24-90 + Q-P or Q2. 3. 28Lux, 35FLE, 50Lux + 24-90. 4. SL28 Cron, 35FLE, 50Lux, SL90 Cron and sell the 24-90. 5. Canon R5 (35, 50mm1.2, 851.2, 70-200) + Q-P or Q2 for personal walk abouts. For those of you not tired of this mind-bender...which would you pick?
  12. I have an SL2 & M10R...I had an m10-P before...It took me a while to adjust to the M10R & now the SL2 sensors. I've seen several comments about selling the SL2 for the Sl2-S because of the obvious video capabilities, but what always catches my attention is they say they like the colors better. For those of you have have made the switch, what is it about the colors that are so different/better?
  13. Thanks for sending these links Jeff. Very helpful. I don't see anywhere that anyone hates the lens or dogs it...it sounds like it's a matter of size and what other lenses will be in the kit. I may keep a 28mm Summilux + adapter and get the 24-90 and see how that works out for a while. One thing I know, it won't be the last lens I'll ever purchase
  14. I'm on the fence about this lens. with the F2 Crons being so great I'm having trouble deciding to go with a 28mm Summilux for street, SL50mm & the SL90....or the 28Lux and the 24-90 for everything else. I've never held one, I've heard it's a beast. Is the f2.8-4 unless indoors with natural light? Can I get some options on your usage? It will go on my SL2 body. Thanks.
  15. You summed it up here. That’s exactly how I feel using the canon system. It’s hard to put in words but you nailed it.
