  1. thought Leica Store Miami could help, but even though it states IN STOCK, it is stated as not available when looking for details. https://leicastoremiami.com/collections/match-technical
  2. looking at the serial number of your lens, i can tell, that my copy is just some digits away from yours. I assume that these lenses are from the same batch, which is strange, because I have no issues at all. No dust inside, and no rattling issue. The only thing I noticed is a tiny metal noise I hear when cleaning the rear element. I only tried this due to the comments, I’m sure I wouldn’t have noticed it otherwise. Hope you get an immaculate copy soon.
  3. Hello Bobby, my M11 is just the same. There is a tiny bit of "downwards movement" possible. Feels perfectly fine and intended.
  4. I can only underline that. Another advantage is, that with a white EDDING 751 you can then name the different cases according to the lens inside.
  8. I just received my mint Copy of this lens and found the aperture ring to be very loose, so my question is: Did they manage to get it tighter ? Thanks in advance, Harald
  9. I just updated my SL2-S to V 2.1 and found out that all of my Apo SL Lenses 35/50/90 were updated to Lens Software V 2.1
  10. I can confirm that my original M to L Adapter (18771) was very tight when first used. I even thought that it was impossible to get off the camera at the first use. After using it regularly it has settled and is now tight but at the same time smooth.
  11. There is a video covering just exactly that Even though it is in german i guess you get the idea.
  12. There is a very interesting review by Vieri Bottazzini under https://www.vieribottazzini.com/2018/05/leica-super-vario-elmar-sl-16-35mm-f-3-5-4-5-asph-in-depth-review.html The Vario Elmar 24-90, the Super Vario Elmar 16-35 is compared to the Voigtlaender Super Wide Heliar 15mm III
  13. I took delivery of a replacement hood directly from Leica. I don't think that it is any different from the one that came with the lens, have to be careful when using it i think. Probably a little piece of insulation tape on top of the the "locking" mechanism might help. Will try on the weekend.
  14. Thanks Mark. Since the lens barrel itself is made from -precisely manufactured- metal, it seems unlikely that the fix involves the lens barrel. I will ask Leica whether the current lens hoods are probably more secure. Regards Harald
