  1. A couple of areas where it would need to be different from the SL3 in order to be of interest to me: - Sensor-size needs to be in the 150MP range to be relevant in the next 5-10 years. - The new S lenses should follow the current range and not require digital correction. The optical perfection is one of the biggest selling points to me. The digital correction in the Q and SL line is not attractive imho. I'm excited there will be a S4 at all! Really looking forward to it.
  2. I contacted Leica Support and they sent the LR tether plugin (it was not available as a download for some reason). You might try this way.
  3. Reflections with S006 and S-24mm.
  4. Two shots with my S3 and 70 CS. Available light only and not much of it, but files are a delight to work with and recoverable enough to get a decent result.
  5. Mine was repaired last year. Haven’t heard of any problems getting S models fixed, hopefully you can yours done too.
  6. Good to hear I made the same call when the mirrorbox and sensor failed on my S006. Cost of repair (USD3k) meant there were plenty of other options, especially since I already own the S3. The S006 does produce unique colors imho, which made me go for the fix. The repaired body came back in perfect shape, super smooth operation - good as new.
  7. I got the LR plugin from Leica Support and tested it on my Mac M1X - it works perfectly. Happy!
  8. Thanks, seems like the best (and possibly only) option at the moment.
  9. I'm struggling to get my S3 to shoot tethered to a Mac M1X Monterey using LR Classic. C1 works like a charm, but I would prefer LR for my workflow. The manual says to download and install a plugin (LeicaTethered.lrplugin), but I cannot locate this on the Leica site. Tried to start a tethered session anyway (in Rosetta mode), but LR is stuck detecting camera. Appreciate any experience you might have getting this to work.
  10. I have both and find them excellent in their own way. They may be similar in terms of resolution and colors, but the S3 is a level up in handling and overall IQ to me. M11 is perfect for street, travel and “pick-up-and-go”, S3 for everything else.
  11. Noct-Nikkor 58/1.2 on M11. This veteran still deliver.
  12. There is almost 60 years between these two - M2 and M11. Quite impressive to maintain a design that works so well for all those years.
  13. I don't think the shutter will impact street photography in real life situations, the sound is not that loud - just different in my ears. The electronic shutter might be limited as an option due to the readout time of the sensor
  14. Also some folks: "How dare you question the latest M? Unacceptable. Be grateful and shut-up." It's a great camera, amazing colours and with well-implemented features. The shutter haptics is not great, though. Instead of a singular decisive click you get a series of clicks. I understand the reasons and think Leica have done well in reducing the impact in the M11. It has zero impact on your photography, It only has to do with the user experience of operating the camera. To most it doesn't matter, but it does to me.
