  1. Make art, not war! There are four nationalities in these two pairs of hands. Cropped. Same camera and lens as above. ISO400 +1EV F/1.4 1/30s, handheld
  2. Flare. Not a steel rim, but one of the last from the first production run, #2167… with the auxiliary finder for M3 (goggles). On M9, ISO 160 +1/3EV, judging by the flare polygons probably shot at F/5.6. Converted from DNG to b&w in PS.
  3. CCD Forever! Need to get my hand on a Monochrome. I'm using this lens on my M9 - it renders slightly cool, so I usually shoot at WB 6000K (or higher here in the high desert, depending on light). Here's one from around the Summer solstice two years ago on Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake a little after sunset. ISO 200 handheld 1/25th F8
  4. Love these ... and the lens. Beautiful gradation - did you use any filter (on the lens, that is)?
  5. I'll add to the M9 collection here. Elmarit-M 28mm E46 (IV). F4, 1/30s, handheld at 1600 ISO. Converted from DNG in PS (and straightened). Love 28mm for architecture and interiors. Nave, Crossing & Choir of Dom St. Petri in Bremen, Germany, July 2021 ( I posted a picture or the North Aisle, Transept and Ambulatory in the Older Glass thread:
  6. Elmarit-M 28mm (IV) E46 on Leica M9 Handheld 1/30 at F4 1600 ISO, shot at b&w in-camera jpeg, but converted from DNG (and slightly straitened - I was so focused on holding the camera steady). North wing of St. Petri Dom, Bremen, Germany
  7. Two from the International Coastal Clean-up Day here in the high desert along the shore of the ever receding Great Salt Lake. Leica M9 with Canon 35/2 LTM, one wide open, one at F11. White balance set to 7500K, because it's the high desert.
  8. The 28 Elmarit-M ASPH is super sharp, with hardly any distortion. I nevertheless settled for the V4 version to accompany my 50 Sonnar ZM, simply because it has the same 46mm filter size (the 28 Summicron was out of price range at the time). Something you might consider if you fill up your lens quiver. I shoot film and digital, and so carry filters and from what I gather Monochrome shooters do as well. The 50 Sonnar ZM is my absolute favorite 50 for Leica - something to consider.
  9. In the foothills above Salt Lake City, after the storm that brought us the fist rain since July 27 and blew out the smoke from local and California fires. Elmar-C 1:4/90 from 1973 on M9. Auto ISO (160), Auto exposure (1/750), F11, WB at 6000K Converted from DNG in PS, vignetting added.
  10. 28mm is for Architecture! Elmarit-M ASPH V1 on M9. A terrace of the Museum Ludwig, Cologne. October 2018.
  11. More travels with a 28. Elmarit-M IV on M9 Road trip, outside of Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA
  12. 28mm is my travel companion. Elmarit-M ASPH V1 on M9 Father Rhine, Cologne, October 2018
  13. Despite all, I decided to keep my M9 (new sensor and screen assembly in 2018) and throw some more money at it: I got a Visoflex III! And tested my Telyt 1:4/200. It has quite a bit of haze, so I had to post process something out of it (the haze). I'm quite happy with the result: ISO 400 1/250 F4, handheld, converted in PS from DNG.
