Had the Ona Bowery for awhile (still use it, just not as often) but didn't like it much. The strap clips would occassionally get caught and detach from the bag Not too often, but still a design that bugs me. Back to my Billingham Hadley Small for now.

Yep, responsiveness and speed would be a bonus; especially writing images to the card. Wouldn't mind higher iso but not too fussed, pretty happy with what I've been dealt with so far on the 240.

Whenever the new M arrives, who's going to buy one?
Ray1684 replied to chris_tribble's topic in Leica M (Type 240 / 262)
Won't be making the jump as I've just picked up the M-P this year I don't feel that there's any limitations to the current M, pretty happy to shoot at 3200 if required. Maybe a MF sensor to compliment the M in the future. -
So... this was just announced the other day, and I pulled the trigger https://www.onabags.com/store/messenger-bags/the-bowery.html?color=nylon Nothing new about ONA Bowery, but the black nylon and gunmetal hardware looks good! Was initially meant to pick one up in leather but found it much too heavy compared to my Billy.

My bad! I was so sure it was a 12524 hood, even thought the button was silver (thought the picture was just showing a reflection); just pulled it out of my bag and checked again and you're correct! 12526 as stated on the hood; fits snug on the 35mm cron v4
-
First thing that came to mind when I first saw this bag My B. Hadley Small has gotten me through a fair bit; kept the rain out while hiking too!
-
I have the 35 Summicron v4 with hood; don't have any issues with it being loose, has never fallen out getting in and out of my camera bag. I've given up on lens caps; just stick a UV filter on it

Advice on transitioning to Leica M 262 (not M-D)
Ray1684 replied to Bobby's topic in Leica M (Type 240 / 262)
Thanks for the tip! Will try this out over the weekend; I have usually worked with the mentality that the subject should be well exposed during the shot, to avoid having spend too much time in PP. -
Advice on transitioning to Leica M 262 (not M-D)
Ray1684 replied to Bobby's topic in Leica M (Type 240 / 262)
Has the op made his/her decision on the M? Just came over from the Sony A7ii using manual focus Zeiss lens; the main annoyance for me on the M is the metering mode; Classic I found a bit hard to use with mixed lighting, and Advanced metering is extremely slow Anyways, have accepted the fact that it's slow now and have continued with the Advanced Metering; similar to my M6 and other film cameras. -

Storage, Lightroom 6, WD Passport Drive
Ray1684 replied to Wayne's topic in Digital Post Processing Forum
Hi, slightly straying off topic here, but if you wouldn't mind a quick question: Is it possible to just work with the WD Passport Wireless Pro for travel, bypassing the laptop altogether? I'm thinking of just using the wireless pro to transfer images from the SD Card to my phone, and performing quick edits on the go to upload online. -
Leica M - winter landscaping field test
Ray1684 replied to Tobers's topic in Leica M (Type 240 / 262)
Been wanting to use my M for some landscape shoots, but having difficulties with metering. Quick question; do most of you use the advanced metering? or use a light meter? Also wondering what would be a good CPL to use with my 35mm cron v4? Thanks. -
+1 to the Billingham bags; I have the Hadley Small and was caught trail walking in the rain with no cover; kept everything perfectly dry! Trying to convince myself that I don't need another Hadley (digital)
