New Visoflex for M9

In that case it would be a lot simpler and cheaper to have an EVF camera.

It is amasing 4 pages of threads in one day for a product that many say is not required and somehow bastardises the purity of a rangefinder "M" when the proposal is an accessory that enhances the units performance.

I really wish that the nay sayers who have so much to contribute and have serious knowledge actually suggest ways of how to do the function rather than shooting the idea down. I hope that the messanger is not shot down either.

Jaapv can you be more specific?

Are you sugesting a Lumix GF1 with appropriate adapters or a modified GF1 for use with an M or R lens. (ie two versions).

If yes then what about sensor quality compared to a M8 and how would focussing be achieved?

May be a new visoflex would more likely look like this:

Not without live-view

Thank you to all that contribute to the thread.

My hopes are to have a viewfinder-adapter that would turn an M9 into an R10 (I don't think there is a substitute for the mechanical optics to see through a lens and Leica is good at this).

I'd have a ff native digital solution for my M & R lenses (and Leica would have a very elegant [to me] exit out of the R to concentrate on the M & S and in the future leave a reflex 35mm window)

I plan to use more film for ff in my R9 & M5 and continue to use the M8 & DMR for digital without a hurry to make a change.

MR10 2010 (with S2 tec)?

Thank you again for the effort.

Maybe it's a stupid question, but... does one of the old Visoflexes fit on an M9?

Well, and if it does, metering could be difficult...?

Yes. The M9 is the same size as the M8, hence the Visoflex III fits.

Yes. This has been debated before in the M8 forum.
