Julian Thompson Posted August 31, 2009 Share #4 Posted August 31, 2009 Yes you're right - we need someone clever enough to slow that blur down frame by frame to get our first glimpse of the M9!

BrendanLynch Posted August 31, 2009 Share #6 Posted August 31, 2009 Look closer - I saw an ISO button on the left of the LCD... and no battery / frame counter on the top left (looks taller than the M8)
stevem7 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted August 31, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) No counter on the top plate as well as another difference on that top plate.
Julian Thompson Posted August 31, 2009 Share #8 Posted August 31, 2009 No no - look - it's got a stepped top where the shots remaining indicator should be...

jquimby Posted August 31, 2009 Share #10 Posted August 31, 2009 I think that was an M8, at least it said so on the front
stevem7 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Share #11 Posted August 31, 2009 Yep, and the dedicated ISO button
andybarton Posted August 31, 2009 Share #12 Posted August 31, 2009 (edited) Has the S-mode gone too? (Sorry, I don't own and M8, so I have nothing to compare this snippet with... But I am very interested ) Edited August 31, 2009 by andybarton
stevelap Posted August 31, 2009 Share #13 Posted August 31, 2009 I thought so too at first, was going to post but then changed my mind. Now every time I re-run it I think I catch a very brief glimpse of M9 on the body, before it switches to M8 again in the next few frames. Still not totally sure, but we'll know for sure a week on Wednesday.....
NickEgg Posted August 31, 2009 Share #14 Posted August 31, 2009 (edited) Here is a screen shot. Notice the ISO button below the delete button. The video then shows the top plate without the small lcd screen on top. - Nick Welcome, dear visitor! stunsworth Posted August 31, 2009 Share #15 Posted August 31, 2009 (edited) Explain why this is different from an M8. If you stop the video at 54 seconds there's a shot of the back of the camera. One of the buttons is labelled 'ISO' - where the 'Protect' button is on the M8 or M8.2. At 58 seconds there's shot of the top plate that has a ridge not present in the M8 or M8.2 Edited August 31, 2009 by stunsworth
stevem7 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Share #16 Posted August 31, 2009 Creative editing. After the closeup shot of the M9, it switches to a guy holding an M8. The close up is of an M9. ISO button, no counter, etc.
Julian Thompson Posted August 31, 2009 Share #17 Posted August 31, 2009 It's there - pause it at 54 seconds and watch - they're playing with us :-)) - no doubt about it :-)
andreas_thomsen Posted August 31, 2009 Share #18 Posted August 31, 2009 sec 54 - you can see an iso button instead of the safe button and self timer in the menue. cheers andy i am happy that i already orded mine m9 4 weeks ago. and i will get at the ninth. yeahhhh
eldelbo Posted August 31, 2009 Share #19 Posted August 31, 2009 It's there - pause it at 54 seconds and watch - they're playing with us :-)) - no doubt about it :-) Yup, ISO button, different top cover, no counter, no S setting (I can see) on highest 4000 shutter speed dial. And cut to be suggestive....
