Summilux 50mm f1.4 v2 vs. pre-asph

I guess there have been numerous threads on pre-asph and asph Summilux 50mm f1.4 but I would like to know what people prefer between the second version and the "third version" (pre-asph but with built-in hood and shorter minimum focus distance). I personally think that the "third version" is sharper and the 70cm minimum focus distance vs. 1m is nice but with the same brand B+W UV/IR filter attached, the "third version" seems to have more of the magenta cast. Your feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Optically they are identical. The focusing helix is steeper on the last version and it focuses closer, as you note. If you are seeing a color difference, it might be attributable to changes in coating. I have owned several versions and settled on the last pre-ASPH but it's a close call. It is a magnificent lens, imo.

      Original owner of a mint-condition 30-90-S.  Works as it should. Leica upgraded AF in 2018 and barely used since then. Time to get this a new home.  Includes:
      lens caps original box outer box lens bag manual AF repair paperwork I think it's priced to sell. Wire transfer only please, plus shipping + insurance (charged at actual cost).       as I mentioned before I have been working on a comparison of Leica M 50mm lenses.
      I compared 10 of them. I ended up with an enormous amount of information and really long articles.
      You can read the whole thing, only the summaries, or only the conclusions.
      I am posting it here because I hope it's going to be a good resource for the community, clarifying quite a few doubts and answering a lot of questions that are often asked here.       ich biete hier mein hervorragend erhaltenes Leica Summilux 50mm f1.4 black paint mit 6-bit Codierung an. Ein Leica Echtleder Köcher ist außerdem dabei.
      Das Objektiv hat keine Kratzer, kein Fungus, keinen Staub. Die Fokusring läuft einwandfrei und geschmeidig. Die Blende Rastet schön ein und es ist kein Öl auf den Blendenlamellen.
      Ich bin kein Sammler und nutze mein Noctilux einfach viel häufiger. Also darf das gute Stück hier den Besitzer wechseln.
      Versand ist versichert möglich. Zahlung per Paypal Friends auch kein Problem.

      I am offering my excellently preserved Leica Summilux 50mm f1.4 black paint with 6-bit coding. A Leica real leather quiver is also included.
       
      The lens has no scratches, no fungus, no dust. The focus ring runs flawless and smoothly. The aperture locks in nicely and there is no oil on the aperture blades. I am not a collector and I just use my Noctilux much more often. So the good piece can change hands here. 
      Insured shipping is possible.
