Tom Barry Posted July 11, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 11, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) For some reason, this detail of a convenience store in Trinidad, Colo., USA, reminded me vaguely of those stylized Easter Island statues. vdb Posted July 14, 2009 Share #8 Posted July 14, 2009 Great shot. B&W might also enhance the texture. I have been through Trinidad several times on my way to northern NM. Have not noticed this building though.
Tom Barry Posted July 15, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted July 15, 2009 It appears to be relatively new; it is on the outskirts of town, on the left as you head south to Raton. Next door is a wonderful New Mexico-style restaurant, Tequila Family Mexican Restaurant, that I can highly recommend. I got so entranced with the food that I forgot to take photos, or to have our waiter take them. It's not often these days that you can get fine Mexican (New Mexican) cuisine for less than $10 plus drinks.
