JLV Posted July 10, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 10, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Today in Arles, we could see the exhibition of Martin Parr photographs in presence of the author. "The people of the water" very inetresting and uncommon. Huge creativity and technic. A man of great sensitivity. JLV Posted July 11, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted July 11, 2009 !!! So who's that man? I obviously missed something. This room was dedicated to different artists and there were non names besides the pictures. I am going to search for that and go back asap. Thanks very much. Rolo Posted July 11, 2009 Share #8 Posted July 11, 2009 ERRATUM This man is BRIAN GRIFFIN. I apologize for the mistake wich doesn't change anything of the human qualities of this great artist. worm regards, Jean-Luc Correct, it is Brian. He is a star from Birmingham and a fabulous photographer and person. Always uses artificial lighting in his shots. I saw his lecture on "Water People' and it was a great experience, although I much preferred his other work. He recently completed a project on the workers at St Pancras station which I much preferred. Used a Hasselblad V film camera until 2 years ago, which he'd been shooting for over 20 years. May have moved to digital, but he had no idea how to use a keyboard at the time I met him.
