Paul Thank you all for your kind comments. Paul, I avoid cropping. I don't like to be doctrinaire, but I am inclined to think that cropping seldom improves things. I know it is hard to make an immutable rule in these things. I sometimes adjust a little for things like verticals (done in this case). I also like the 2x3 ratio. It is very close to the golden section which is visually pleasing. I also quite like the discipline imposed by 2x3 and no cropping. Too many choices also causes problems.
