storybrown Posted July 11, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted July 11, 2009 Thanks for the comments. Lucky there were no dust mots in the air; they would surely have been highlighted. It was posted from my Mac; I had thought it was from my Digilux 2, but stumbled across the original shots this very am while clearing the card in my C-Lux 1 when giving it to my wife. Bertje Posted July 12, 2009 Share #9 Posted July 12, 2009 Colours are very nice. Great picture. But the stove on the right side disturbs the composition a bit. Less is better. Regards Bert.
storybrown Posted July 13, 2009 Author Share #10 Posted July 13, 2009 Thanks, Bert. I like the stove there -- maybe because I know the room (I live in it) -- but I see what you mean. You might like one of these better. (I like them both; they hadn't occurred to me.)
kuddel Posted July 13, 2009 Share #11 Posted July 13, 2009 Guy, as the others mentioned, great light it look like a warm place to be. I also like the clearness of the room and the furniture. They seem to communicate with the surrounding because of the reflections. Particular vitrine in the middle and the glass on the left part of the stove, which show some of the outside. That is is it where the picture starts to tell a story for me. Therefore I would not crop the stove. But that is just my opinion ... storybrown Posted July 16, 2009 Author Share #12 Posted July 16, 2009 Thanks, Andreas. I, too, like the space & context of the original, but I'm glad to have thought through the cropping.
