antistatic Posted June 21, 2009 Share #2 Posted June 21, 2009 Fantastic series David. I half expected to see Gandalf somewhere in the frames. Lake Tekapo is one of my favorite places on this planet.
alan c. davis Posted June 21, 2009 Share #3 Posted June 21, 2009 David, the Lake Matheson shot is interesting. To get the mirror reflection late afternoon when your shot was taken is rare. Normally you have to get up a couple of hours before dawn and hoof it down to the lake to get the photos as the sun rises behind the mountains.( I lived and worked in Fox Glacier for 3 months in 1975.) They are all great shots.
stuny Posted June 21, 2009 Share #4 Posted June 21, 2009 David - Gorgeous for composition, moment (no wind), detail, depth, light and color. Also a fine reminder of how much we enjoyed the South Island.
NZDavid Posted June 22, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted June 22, 2009 Thanks, and yes, Stuart, a rarity to have no wind! You've just got to make the most of the weather when you get the chance and can't book it in advance, especially in New Zealand -- you can get four seasons in one day! I took pics of Lake Matheson late afternoon and early morning.
