At 6:00 this morning I noticed that high-end department store Bergdorf Goodman had changed their windows to honor Lincoln Center for the Perfoming Arts 50th anniversary.

Thank goodness store window dressings are alive and well somewhere. Another fatality in the "Malling of America."

But I have difficulty understanding the time-frame: A 50th anniversary would be 1959, but the motif of the windows is 1929 or 39? I like them especially for that reason!

Kirk - Thank you. The theme is just artiface to make interesting windows. The clothing is all of current design, but retro in feel. Speaking of retro in feel, perhap next week I'll show you some windows elsewhere in town celebrating the Summer of Love (Woodstock was 40 years ago).
