A very busy young mother tending to her child who over the course of the afternoon, fell down, had her arm caught in the door, had her hand hit by a drumstick, and scraped a knee. All of which ended, of course, in a torrent of tears.

 

Perhaps it was witnessing these series of calamities that drew me to this image...unbounded energy of a 3 yr old and the --strained-- vigilance of her mother.
