Ted W Posted June 2, 2009 Share #15 Posted June 2, 2009 Excellent portfolio. Okay, what's your secret sauce with the processing? Both the B/W and color tones are excellent, especially the color. Not digital-looking at all.
JLV Posted June 2, 2009 Share #16 Posted June 2, 2009 Steve, Beautiful picture and model. Her mysterious look adds a lot as the special light in the eyes. Great capture. All the best, Jean-Luc
jplomley Posted June 2, 2009 Share #17 Posted June 2, 2009 Very nice Steve. A bit clinical perhaps, but if its cutting edge rendition your after, this lens certainly fits the bill. Are you using a magnifier to achieve critical focus?
stevem7 Posted June 2, 2009 Author Share #18 Posted June 2, 2009 Very nice Steve. A bit clinical perhaps, but if its cutting edge rendition your after, this lens certainly fits the bill. Are you using a magnifier to achieve critical focus? Thanks, and yes, I agree on the "clinical" comment. I have this lens for a week or two to test out and the first couple of days I loved it, but the more I use it the more I lust after a 75 Lux for portraits. The 90 is SHARP and at times can be a bit too sharp. BUT, it is a phenomenal lens, and i do like it much more than my 75 Summarit. I have no issues at all focusing this 90, and I do not use a magnifier. But, I am still getting the hang of what it can and cant do and hope to get some really good samples with it this week. Thanks for the comments!
