@ Azzo, I just bought the WATE this week, so that should give some "on-the-fly versatility". Time will tell if this is a viable solution. It's a solid performer on the M8, will test its capabilities on the M7 this weekend.

 

@ Eckart, I was thinking if I had something like a 21mm I could have moved closer to him, keeping the magnification the same, but of course with this wide an angle of lens the boat would have been much smaller, creating a greater sense of space between him and the boat. As it stands now, I find the boat is a bit too large and looming in the image. He is almost lost in its magnitude.
