D-Lux 4 Battery Status

I just bought a new DL4 and am trying to set it up. After charging the battery, the status indicator displays 3 white bars. Instead, I expected the bars to turn black to indicate a full charge. Is this normal?

It should be three white bars thats normal on the DL4

Black would be harder to see.

As the battery drains, the bars disappear leaving you with just the battery outline.

Yes, j, I looked at this, but what it doesn't show us, is which is which.

Well, I don't know. Black on white should be pretty legible.
