Neil Macmillan Posted May 15, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 15, 2009 OK, but I think Smiling Lady is a more convincing demonstration of decisive moment, in that she did not appear to be posing for you, whereas this subject is, or certainly appears to be. I think this image would have been stronger by moving closer and panning left so that we don't have as much emptiness on the right of the frame. The out of focus fountain is a nice touch that gives a sense of place. Hyde Park?
bybrett Posted May 15, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 15, 2009 I like the composition just the way it is but with a bit more "fill" in PP. Nice shot.

ShivaYash Posted May 16, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted May 16, 2009 So, closer focus - maybe I'll crop it? Photo was taken at Russell Sq. Film - black and white - I don't remember which now. Yes - smiling lady is probably more of a decisive moment - it wasn't a posed shot. Many thanks for the comments!
