jacksparrow Posted November 4, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sorry for this post, because it's pointless, but I just wanted to share my joy :-) It's soooo beautiful, it's stunning, it's such an impression holding it for the first time! firt, love the little box, and then surprised it's sooo heavy! :-) well... It's the single most electrifying piece of metal I've ever seen. I'm sure you all remember that first moment!! Film loading was easy.. the hard part was waiting for my girlfriend to come back from work, so the first picture taken with the camera would be hers. Exceeded all my expectations and (almost) overcame my buyer's remorse. Oh! by the way, it's chrome. I hate you all for driving me into this adiction :-)

mwilliamsphotography Posted November 4, 2006 Share #7 Posted November 4, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Great camera. You will love it. Your post reminds me of getting my first M years ago. I remember recalling all the great shots that had been taken with a Leica rangefinder ... and thinking to myself ..." no more excuses". Now go burn some film.

M_6 Posted November 5, 2006 Share #10 Posted November 5, 2006 that's the kind of joy of having own a leica. and don't just own it, the greatest joy is seeing pictures produced in 1998, when i first bought a M6 with a 35 f2 ASPH. and i told myself that was good enough for me. but i fall in love with the M system after using it to take pictures. today, i have M6 & M7 bodies, 24 f2.8 ASPH, 35 f1.4 ASPH & my one month old 75 f1.4. i also have a R100 APO macro lense, which i use it with a Canon digital body. the approach to take pictures with the leica is never the same. and your pictures will improve with this styles. aymoon Posted November 17, 2010 Share #14 Posted November 17, 2010 congratulations! I've just been putting my MP through its first proper paces these past few days (running lots of velvia and, hopefully, in the next few days some tri-x too). Thought the 50-lux was the perfect lens for it... until I got the new 35-lux. They handle together like a dream! Did you say you had started an addiction???
