wilfredo Posted July 4, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I took this shot near the Museo del Barrio in New York City a few weeks ago when 5th Ave. was closed down to traffic and all the major museums were open to the public free of charge. This shot was taken at the end of the day, hence the title Boricua Sunset. Boricua = Puerto Rican (we love our flag). Leica M7 (Copyright Wilfredo Benitez). Gerard K Posted July 4, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 4, 2006 Ola companero, Just love the first shot, the feet do the walking and the talking in that image. Great tones and texture of the bitumen and chalk. Gerard.
jmr Posted July 4, 2006 Share #5 Posted July 4, 2006 Wilfredo, does your sister know you're copyrighting her art? Nice shots, both.
stuny Posted July 4, 2006 Share #6 Posted July 4, 2006 Wilfredo - Both are delightful, touching, joyful, and loaded with tonal range. Stuart
gverdon Posted July 5, 2006 Share #7 Posted July 5, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Wilfredo, the first one speaks to me... I like the contrast between the "love of the flag" and apparent proudness the draw expresses and the fact people are simply walking on it...
