fotografr Posted May 25, 2009 Author Share #43 Posted May 25, 2009 And now for the official results (drum roll, please): Ladies and Gentlemen, WE HAVE A TIE! 1ST PLACE, WITH 22 VOTES EACH: Bill and Philipotts 2ND PLACE, WITH 15 VOTES: VDB 3RD PLACE, WITH 14 VOTES EACH: Farnz and Soloforeal My recommendation is that since Bill handled the first competition, we pass the challenge on to Philipotts to select the next theme and handle the timing and tabulations. Are there any objections or other suggestions? Thanks to everyone who participated.
bill Posted May 26, 2009 Share #44 Posted May 26, 2009 Many thanks to Brent for organising, and congratulations to Alan - you had my vote! Looking forward to the next one. Regards, Bill
fotografr Posted May 26, 2009 Author Share #45 Posted May 26, 2009 (edited) It should be noted that this situation with the tie was settled in a most civilized manner. Realizing that they lived reasonably close together, Bill and Alan decided to meet half-way in between and duke it out for first place. A small ring was hastily constructed behind an old barn and in a frenzied, spirited three-round battle Alan pummelled the hell out of Bill and claimed the title. Thanks to Pete for being the referee. Bill was treated and released from the local clinic and should be ready to go for the next challenge. Edited May 26, 2009 by fotografr
Alan Philpotts Posted May 26, 2009 Share #46 Posted May 26, 2009 Thank you Brent and thanks Bill. The truth is that nobody was hurt and Bill shares the honours. This round of the challenge is definitely a tie. Thanks too to all of you who posted entries, I think that you provided us with a great gallery of images. Also thanks to those of you who took the time to look and to vote. I shall shortly be setting up the D Lux4/LX-3 challenge #3 and Bill will be looking after Barnack Challenge #9. Thus we are sharing the work as well as first place. Best regards Alan
