jaapv Posted April 13, 2009 Share #1 Posted April 13, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) North Luanga, Zambia, 2002. On the nightdrive we followed these Lions stalking Buffalo. The spotlight was switched of during the final stages of the hunt and the kill for ethical reasons (a very impressive sound!), but we were able to see the feeding. It was a very dark night. Agfa APXII, R7, Apo-Telyt 280/4.0, beanbag. I was only able to render these slides usable after scanning and in Photoshop.

stuny Posted April 14, 2009 Share #8 Posted April 14, 2009 Jaap - Very well done. Did you reamin to see them groom themselves and one another?
jaapv Posted April 14, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted April 14, 2009 Jaap - Very well done. Did you reamin to see them groom themselves and one another? Thanks:) No it was around midnight and they had a grown buffalo, so the feast looked like it was going to take some time. It was a humbling experience and makes one feel very insignificant and vunerable in the African night. Thanks everybody for the comment. Btw, the fact that these slides were unusable for projection, even though the film was pushed two stops from ISO 200 made me take the final decision to go digital.
