Mike Rawcs Posted April 23, 2009 Author Share #241 Posted April 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) With regard to posts such as this; has anyone here actually had any response from Leica? Like "That's a good idea" or "Not possible due to ..". If we don't get any response - ever - it seems rather a waste of time and effort posting. Mike. You expect a response from Leica to posts on this forum? If you are VERY lucky, they are reading them. Edited April 23, 2009 by guidomo

Well, they do advertise the Forum on their website so I certainly hope that they do read it. It would be good to get some feedback from Leica and would surely boost the Forum's credibility and membership. Just as long as we discontinue the "I love my M8" threads (reply from Leica ... "So do we" (laughing). Best wishes, Mike.

Then I guess we are all VERY lucky, because they do read this forum. Many of the firmware improvements over the last two years have come as a direct result of issues raised on this forum. Doug Well then, for the record I would love it if the ability to shoot DNG-only in B&W would return. I would like to see a B&W review image, and have a B&W thumbnail in the DNG header. I would like to see a B&W review image, and have a B&W thumbnail in the DNG header. I presume it's on the list? For me, I would like the ability to manually include a lens for IR correction when it doesn't have the coding. It's also on the list, but I'm not holding my breath. I suspect Marketing would disapprove.

Best wishes, Mike.
