jaapv Posted April 7, 2009 Share #3 Posted April 7, 2009 Nothing for me - it would look scruffy in ten minutes flat... Paris Hilton maybe? Provided somebody is able to explain to her which end takes the photographs....

mat_mcdermott Posted April 7, 2009 Share #6 Posted April 7, 2009 I normally actually like special edition Ms, but by first reaction was an uncontrollable scream of disgust. Maybe it's designed for Lucas Arts to accompany some new Star Wars stormtrooper costume. It's very Empire Strikes Back.
Bo_Lorentzen Posted April 7, 2009 Share #7 Posted April 7, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) There's room for more work in photoshop. cast shadow from the hardware such as strap eyelet should actually show, even on white. .

nocklebeast Posted April 7, 2009 Share #9 Posted April 7, 2009 Not so sure about the white or the safari body, but the chrome Elmarit looks cool.

SJP Posted April 7, 2009 Share #11 Posted April 7, 2009 I don't want one, but from what I gather the safari version was an enormous success. So the concept apparently works to keep turnover at a healthy level. That must be in our interest -- we want Leica to survive in these economically tough times. Guest John66 Posted April 7, 2009 Share #13 Posted April 7, 2009 (edited) If this is real, Leica are turning more into handbag makers than camera makers. Does it come with a free lap dog or siamese cat? Edited April 7, 2009 by John66

twittle Posted April 7, 2009 Share #15 Posted April 7, 2009 If this is real, Leica are turning more into handbag makers than camera makers. I suppose it comes free with a lap dog or siamese cat. aesop Posted April 7, 2009 Share #20 Posted April 7, 2009 ...not entirely sure what the sniffiness is about. I may not be drawn to a white Leica (real or imagined), but if it will contribute positively towards the health of the company, then I have no issues with it. This is not a closed club, folks - Leica needs new customers, however wayward or dim we may perceive them to be. My USD 0.02.
