Heck, why not fire up a big spliff and look at his photo's.

I think we need to start a new thread, Stoners (and former stoners) who use Leicas. What do you thinK? P.S. Where is Rohnert Park? I am in New Jersey. Russell:cool:

Russell, please explain what a Stoner is.

I am from Europe: yes I know that is on 'Oeps, another planet'

Dude - you're in Amsterdam and you claim not to know what a stoner is??

Nice try.

Have you ever seen the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High? The character played by Sean Penn (spicoli) is the classic Stoner. Stoners are people that have no ambition to do anything other than smoke marijuana.

Most of my friend's from high school that were stoners eventually became 30-something year olds working for poverty wages if they have a job at all. Of course, they're perfectly fine with these circumstances since they're too stoned to care anyway

Sure, I was one, for a wee spell, 30 years or so ago. As I said: fond memories

That was at the very same time I immensely enjoyed using my first Leica: the CL

Living in the Caribbean - oh that Gold from Colombia - and taking wonderful Kodachromes on holidays in South America!

So that is were all this M8 fondness comes from? Fine with me!

Go into any Hashish bar in Amsterdam and you will understand IMMEDIATELY what a stoner is. Just don't spend too much time inside,or you will be a stoner for that day(don't inhale too much) Russell:cool:

Right on

That sounds like the right way to be a stoner

I was straight-edge...kinda Ian Mackaye style...but that might have been different if I'd been living in the Carbbean or someplace more exotic than the suburbs.

Funny thing is, you don't HAVE to get some marihuana there, you can just have a cup of coffee as well... And smoking is forbidden inside anyway.

My cousin is an amateur brain surgeon. No complaints yet.

He wouldn't have, now would he?

Jaap, I stand corrected, I have never been to Amsterdam, so I can't speak for experience on this matter, would love to come to the Netherlands one day, see Amsterdam, and go to Keukenhof during tulip season, love shooting flowers and these are gorgeous! Thanks again, Russell

I meant to say from , not for experience on this matter.

But first: drop a note, and we would prepare you a great Leica welcome!

I wish I'd known that, Sander, because I made the Keukenhof 'pilgrimage' in April last year.

Pete.
