Guest stnami Posted October 28, 2006 Share #3 Â Posted October 28, 2006 Thanks Pete, I misse the highlight with the D2 ( not this image) I tried out a new setting for me 400 iso, White Balance set on B&W, contrast-high, sharpness-standard, then the other White Balance set on B&W contrast-high, sharpness-standard, saturation-low and converting the jpeg via channels, produces a nice grain. here is a sepia version of the latter Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I saw an exhibition of his in Sydney in Jan 2005. Â Is that a figure in the foreground? I'd love to see them a few steps on, still in sillouette but with a luminous outline. I saw a bit of Park's work on the net. Harsh tones are the norm here as it is one way to combat the overblown highlight issue due to the bright sunlight so we tend to use similiar techniques at night Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've never used my D2 in B&W mode, I'm ashamed to say, must give it a go. I found that 400 ISO was pretty crap with colour, but of course it's a different kettle of worms in monochrome.
