The Leica Ig, OCEGO, introduced in 1957 in the same time that the IIIg , at camera number 887001 and ceased at number 987525.

Basically a IIIg but without a build-in viewfinder or rangefinder. No delayed action as the camera was primarily intended for scientific or Visoflex use.

The camera top plate is supplied with two accessories shoes for attaching a separate viewfinder and range finder.

This model was the first to have the manufacturer name engraved on the camera front.

The shutter speed from 1 sec. to 1/30 are mounted on the camera front, B, 1/30 to 1/1000 on the top.
