M8 with 75 lux and orange A+F sweater.

I am trying to produce some high key shots. I do not have a studio so I used natural lightening. I think I need to find a way to brighten up the background.

Post processing consisted of selective saturation of the orange sweater, a bit of curves, and some selective sharpening of the eyes.

This shot shows (at least in my view) why the 75 lux is such a great lens for portraits.

C+C much appreciated.

The 75 is a superb optic & renders with a distinctive signature. With those smashing eyes and great skin tone, I don't know why you choose to highlight the background. It should almost be invisible & let you daughter create the light & glow.

All, Many thanks for all the kind comments. Very encouraging because I want to shoot a whole series of these types of portraits :)

Ben, the idea was to make the background disappear by making it more white, but perhaps it does indeed work better if the background does not glow too much.

PS: On my first M8 body, it was almost impossible to get the focus of the 75 lux right, although I had send the lens and the camera to Solms for calibration of the lens and the rangefinder. On the M8.2 I bought in December, I have about 85% keepers. My old M8 is back to Solms and hopefully will work properly when comming back.
