I’m not sure what you mean Michael but IMO, this is just guessing. Circular reasoning is turning back to your own assumption everytime, without being able to see or prove that assumption. Happens in all the attempts to prove that God exists for instance, which is impossible. The only similarity between the two is that it doesn’t lead to knowledge … yet. And that we have to wait until the jackpot falls 😁

Circular, I presume, in that he 'circled' the coast of the UK naming each sea in turn!
