frank_dernie Posted April 16, 2009 Share #221 Posted April 16, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) This thread got me searching for the ultimate in bags. I wonder if the bags made by Fogg in France would suit M8 man. Here is the link : Fogg Specialist Bags - photographic bags and camera cases These have got to be the bees knees - has anybody got one? PS I hope I can share with other members my condolences for all members of Natasha Richardson's family. R.I.P. She will be greatly missed. I use a B-Laika. It is by miles the best bag for an M I have used. Frank

russell c. greenberg Posted April 16, 2009 Share #222 Posted April 16, 2009 (edited) The A&A "Oskar's One Day" bag looks really good, and so do the larger Domke satchels. Some of the neighborhoods I pass through are not the best, so I don't want too much obvious "bling"! Let people think it contains utterly boring office paperwork and maybe a lunch. Some of these are pretty loud, but I wouldn't really expect to find a camera in them (which could be good): FREITAG lab. AG :: Zürich Timbuk2 Bags - Timbuk2 4season, I like your avatar, where did you get the wind-up Totoro? BTW, I use Billingham bags, have 4 of them 1) a Banana Republic Correspondent's bag for D200 w/7 lenses. 2) a black Liberty( precursor to the Hadley line). 3) A khaki Series 3 for my Black Paint M2 and some lenses. 4) a Hadley Digital(Sage) w/Avea3 pouch for my M8 outfit. #3 are interchangeable when I want to carry 2 M8s. Catatac Posted April 16, 2009 Share #223 Posted April 16, 2009 Another vote for the Fogg b-laika. Fits my body and other 3 lenses delightfully. Finishing is exquisite.
LeicaMSeattle Posted April 16, 2009 Share #224 Posted April 16, 2009 This is my slingbag by Tom Bihn, a local bag manufacturer here in Seattle. It was originally designed for laptops but found that the padded design augmented with a couple of foam sleeves makes for a non descript camera bag. For better security, the bag can be rotated on the shoulder across the body in front for easier access to things. I can still get my 12" laptop in, no problem. Welcome, dear visitor! markgay Posted April 16, 2009 Share #228 Posted April 16, 2009 For air travel, I use a Be.ez laptop backpack - with the laptop in the back section and the camera and five lenses in the front, sitting in a Domke insert. Then, for walk around, the Domke insert containing lenses simply lifts out and goes into the Domke F-802 satchel. Totally grab and go. john_j Posted April 17, 2009 Share #232 Posted April 17, 2009 Hi- I've been looking for a new bag. Been using Domke 802 & 803 and was considering a Billingham Pro. I'll be treking so your sling really caught my eye. I have 2 M-6's & an M-8. The M-6's normally have a 50 f/2 and the M8 a 28, 2.8. I'll also need room for a 35 f'2, 90 f/2.8 and a 75 f/1.4. As well as film, say 8 or 10 rolls. Think this sling can handle it? Thanks!
coup de foudre Posted April 17, 2009 Share #233 Posted April 17, 2009 does anybody have photos of their Fogg bag they'd care to show? i'd like to see some real pics, rather than the ones on their site. also, does anybody have the all black combo? what colour are the dividers inside? thank you in advance, cam
lanetomlane Posted April 17, 2009 Share #234 Posted April 17, 2009 The leather Barbour bag, with Billingham Hadley's insert works very well. Out of interest, which size of Billingham Hadley insert did you use. They have three sizes; small, original/pro and large. I have looked at the Barbour leather bags for ages, but hadn't thought of putting a 'ready-made' insert in. Thanks for the posting, although it could cost me some money. _____________________________ Regards, Tom Photography by Tom Lane
