476 v 1033, a comparison.

Was scabbing up empty film cans from the local today, and took what they had. Decided to sort out the 400 ISO cans from everything else for my "roll your owns" rather than have to texta 100 or 400 on the loaded cans.

Surprised me, 1033grams of 400 ISO compared to 476g of 100, 200, 800 and even something else. There were another ten or so cans discarded and all but one was 400ISO.

Nothing scientific, just surprising or not so surprising insight into consumer point and shoot preference.

Of course, we high volume, low iso speed film users always do our own developing at home. My dustbin will show almost all 100, some 25 and the odd 400/3200

With this volume it is hard to fathom why they closed all the Argentinian smelters down in Newcastle surely along with the demand for Knights armour it was a bad move

400 it is probably because you hedge your bets like most on the day abd anticipate atleast a few low light or contrast ridden shots
