Hi Daniel,

I found a picture showing an arrowana and arapaima in the same tank. In the wild an arrowana can grow up to 9 feet while the arapaima up to 15 feet. The arrowana is much more elegant in swimming and can bend it's body in half while making a turn around.

The arrowana is in the upper left corner of the picture an the arapaima is somewhat hidden. I added a better picture showing the arapaima.

Thanks Stuart, I particularly like the way some of the fish appear to be swimming out of the tank in the second one.

Daniel, I bet there are some beautiful arrowanas in Hong Kong. I was born in Macao, which is a stones throw from you.

Hi Carlos,

yes, there are many arrowanas in HK. Chinese people treat it as a "fortune" fish that bring you good luck expecially for business people. my father used to have 2 pairs of the arrowanas in his office gigantic fish tank. I was born in HK and my mother was from Macao. I travel back to HK 3-4 times a year for business and go to macao once of twice a year to visit some family member.

take care

Daniel
