The rain washed down the smog to provide a relatively clear vew of the downtown from Kenneth Hahn Park in the Baldwin Hill section of Los Angeles. Then one morning I looked out my hotel window from the Marina and saw the mountains, which I had no idea were there. In the subsequent years I got to see the mountains more and more frequently. I do agree that things have been getting a little better over the past 10 - 20 years. I'd love to have it like this everyday though. Sorry for the ignorance, but I did not realize that Los Angeles gets snow, it's not something that ever gets shown. All one see's of this amazing city, apart from Hollywood/Beverly Hills/Long Beach, are the droughts and horrifying fires coupled with the Santa Anna winds.
